IP Management Software Pricing in India (2026): Every Published Price

What IP docketing and IP management software really costs for Indian teams in 2026, which vendors publish a price, and which ones make you book a demo. Last verified October 2026.

Price Ledger · IP Management Software

If you manage trademarks, patents or designs in India, you have probably tried to find out what IP management software costs and hit a wall of "Request a demo" buttons. Most vendors in this category do not print a price. This page collects every price we could verify, shows the GST status and the date we read it, and says plainly which vendors publish nothing. Last verified October 2026: of the 6 vendors we checked, 3 publish a price, and only 1 publishes it in rupees.

The short answer
  • Headline: 3 of 6 vendors checked publish a price (last verified October 2026).
  • Only rupee price with GST status: Claw Premium, Rs 1,099 per month or Rs 10,999 per year, excluding GST, with IP bundled in.
  • Dollar prices: Alt Legal docketing starts at $60 per month; GST status not stated on its page.
  • Quote-only: Dennemeyer, IPRally and Red Points show no figure.
  • Pick by job first: global docketing, patent search and takedowns each have specialist leaders.

01Why IP software pricing is hard to find in India

IP management software is priced like enterprise software, not like a consumer app. That is why a simple question, "what will this cost me per year in rupees", is so hard to answer.

Most vendors sell by quote

Many IP docketing and portfolio platforms were built for large corporate legal departments and big IP firms in the US and Europe. Their sales process is a demo, then a custom quote. The price depends on the number of matters, users, jurisdictions and modules. So the website shows no number.

Prices that do exist are often in dollars

The few vendors that publish a price usually do it in US dollars, and often do not say whether tax is included. An Indian team has to add GST on imported services, currency movement and card or wire fees. A "$60 per month" plan is not a Rs figure you can put in a budget.

The tool and the filing fee are different things

Software cost is separate from the official fees you pay to IP India for filings, renewals and annuities. Those fees are set by the Trade Marks Rules, Patents Rules and Designs Rules and are published on the IP India website. A price comparison should only compare software. We do not list government fees here.

How to read this page

We checked each vendor's own pricing page on 6 October 2026. If a vendor shows no price, we write "quote-based" and do not guess. Prices change often, so confirm with the vendor before you buy.

02What you are really paying for

The price of IP software depends on what job it does, so compare vendors only after you decide which job you need done. Indian IP teams usually need some mix of these five.

  • Docketing and deadlines: renewals, annuities, hearing dates, response deadlines, with reminders.
  • Registry and journal watch: tracking the Trade Marks Journal and filings for conflicting marks.
  • Litigation tracking: oppositions, infringement suits and High Court IP Division matters.
  • Search and analysis: prior-art and similarity search, which is a specialist job.
  • Enforcement: marketplace takedowns and brand protection.

No single tool is best at all five. A global docketing suite may be excellent at multi-country annuities and weak at Indian court matters. A patent search tool may be excellent at prior art and have no docketing. Paying for depth you will not use is the most common budget mistake.

The cheapest IP software is the one that covers the jobs you actually do, with the price printed where you can see it.

We did not verify a public price for Anaqua, Questel, Clarivate, Iolite, JSK, Wellspring or Inteum from their own pages in this check, so they are not counted in the 6 and no figure is given for them. Treat them as quote-based until you confirm.

04Vendor notes: what each one is and how it prices

The notes below are in no ranking order. Each vendor is good at a different job, so a lower price is not automatically a better fit.

1

Alt Legal

Docketing and trademark tools with some of the clearest public pricing in the category.

Strengths
  • Prices are printed by matter count, so you can budget before you talk to sales.
  • No setup fees and no extra training charges, as stated on its pricing page.
Keep in mind
  • Prices are in US dollars, and the page does not state tax treatment.
  • Built with USPTO and Canadian practice first, so Indian registry and court workflows are not its focus.

Best for Teams with a US-centred trademark portfolio that want a printed price.

2

Dennemeyer

A long-established IP software and services group with products such as DIAMS Infinity and Simple IP.

Strengths
  • Strong fit for global portfolios that need multi-jurisdiction renewals and annuities.
  • Offers managed renewal services alongside software.
Keep in mind
  • Pricing is quote-based, with no figure on its software page.
  • Likely sized for larger portfolios than a single Indian practice. Confirm with the vendor.

Best for Multinational IP owners with filings in many countries.

3

PatSnap

Innovation intelligence and patent analytics, with several self-serve plans.

Strengths
  • Publishes monthly prices for some plans and offers free tiers on some products.
  • Strong in patent search and analytics rather than docketing.
Keep in mind
  • Its listed plans are for research and R&D, not Indian trademark renewals or court tracking.
  • Enterprise and suite pricing is "contact us".

Best for R&D and patent teams that need prior-art and landscape analysis.

4

IPRally

AI patent search that works on the structure of patent documents.

Strengths
  • Clear tier structure: single user, team and enterprise.
  • Per-seat annual model, with team discounts from 3 seats as stated on its page.
Keep in mind
  • No figures are published, so you must book a demo or contact sales.
  • A search tool, not a docketing or registry tracker.

Best for Patent professionals who want AI prior-art search.

5

Red Points

Online brand protection and marketplace takedown software.

Strengths
  • Built for mass takedowns of counterfeits and misuse across marketplaces.
  • Pricing scales with channels, markets and trademarks protected.
Keep in mind
  • Quote-based only. No figure is shown.
  • An enforcement tool, not a portfolio or docketing system.

Best for Consumer brands facing counterfeits on online marketplaces.

06Hidden costs to budget for

The sticker price is only part of the cost. Four items change the real number for an Indian team.

  • GST: rupee prices that exclude GST add 18 percent on top. Claw states its prices exclude GST. For foreign vendors, ask whether tax applies to you and who pays it.
  • Currency: dollar plans move with the exchange rate. A plan that looks cheap in dollars can cost more after conversion and card fees.
  • Matters and seats: docketing tools often price by number of matters. A growing portfolio moves you into the next band.
  • Setup and data migration: quote-based vendors may charge for onboarding. Ask for it in writing.

For a deeper look at the work itself, see our guide to trademark portfolio management in India.

07How to choose

Pick by job first, price second. If your portfolio is mostly India, start with the tools that handle IP India and Indian courts, then check the price.

If you hold filings in many countries, a global docketing platform such as Dennemeyer, Anaqua or Clarivate suits better, and you should expect a quote. If you run a very high volume IP firm docket, specialist docketing tools such as Iolite or JSK are worth a demo. If you work mainly with USPTO or CIPO filings, Alt Legal is a natural fit. If you need AI prior-art search, look at PatSnap, Questel or IPRally. If marketplace counterfeits are the pain, Red Points or Corsearch. If you manage inventions in a university or technology transfer office, Wellspring or Inteum.

If your work is India-first and spans both IP India registry matters and court cases, an all-in-one India tool can cost far less than assembling several. For head-to-head views, see Claw vs Dennemeyer and Claw vs Questel Equinox. Also read what the 30 crore judgments figure means for IP research.

08Where Claw fits

Claw is an all-in-one legaltech platform for Indian advocates, law firms, and corporate legal teams, combining AI-based case search, an AI legal assistant (Legal GPT), case management, and compliance automation across all Indian courts and tribunals.

For IP work, Claw's IPR Solutions tab tracks IP India registry matters across trademarks, patents, designs and geographical indications. It watches the Trade Marks Journal for conflicting marks using text, phonetic and visual matching, and alerts you. It tracks pending compliances, including trademark renewals and patent annuity and response deadlines, and pending hearings from trademark and patent filings. On the court side, it follows IP litigation across Indian courts that have a case website, including party-name infringement discovery and High Court IP Division matters, and adds IP judgment research over 30 crore+ judgments with Legal GPT. It works across 9,102 courts, benches and forums.

On price, IP features are bundled in Premium at Rs 1,099 per month or Rs 10,999 per year, excluding GST, or in Enterprise on quote. There is no separate IP-only plan. Claw's per-search litigation product is a different SKU and does not apply to IP.

Claw has limits. It does not yet track copyright registration at the Copyright Office, so for copyright it is court-side only. For global multi-jurisdiction docketing, Anaqua, Clarivate and Dennemeyer go deeper. For very high volume specialist docketing, look at Iolite or JSK. For USPTO-first work, Alt Legal. For AI prior-art search, PatSnap, Questel or IPRally. For mass marketplace takedowns, Red Points or Corsearch. For technology transfer, Wellspring or Inteum. Claw does not use customer case documents to train AI models.
